Biography

Lene obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree from the National University of Singapore (N.U.S), as well as two post-graduate Diplomas - a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and a Post-graduate Diploma in Pastoral Career and Career Guidance (PCCG) from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University (N.T.U). She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) from the Singapore Training and Development Association and is certified as a DISC behavioral analyst and People Developer Assessor (Spring).

With over 20 years of experience in training and learning development in both the private and public sectors, Lene has extensive involvement in education, curriculum development, training, learning, HR, and organizational development work at both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. One of her significant achievements was launching the civil service-wide IT learning management system, Learning@Gov, in 2007, which provided e-learning to approximately 60,000 civil service officers.

As the Section Manager for Outsourced L&D department, Lene managed 13 Ministries and 3 statutory boards, leading the division. She spent over a decade in the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, MOE, where she was responsible for divisional training. She is knowledgeable about international people developer programs in innovation and organization effectiveness. She served as a Programme & Quality Assurance Manager with a Continuing Education Training Centre, where she developed and assessed training courseware for accreditation by the Workforce Development Agency. Lene has authored several nationally accredited Workforce Skills Development qualifications in leadership, people management, and human resource development training programs. She provides training in soft skills such as communication, teamwork, performance appraisal, customer service, HR-related areas, and business writing.

Currently, Lene works as an HR consultant for multiple companies and provides HR advisory advice through an international accounting firm and several local business organizations. She advises companies on the Employment Act and assists in drafting HR policies for local and international enterprises. Additionally, she is a WDA accredited HR auditor for some of the national HR initiatives.
